Hyundai Motor Group X-ble Shoulder
The Hyundai X-ble Shoulder is a 1.9 kg passive shoulder exoskeleton for overhead work.
The X-ble Shoulder is a wearable robot from the Hyundai and Kia Robotics LAB for work with the arms raised. It weighs about 1.9 kg and generates force through a non-powered torque mechanism, so without a battery. Two versions exist: the basic version for changing postures with up to 2.9 kgf of support (4.9 N·m) and an adjustable version for repeated movements with up to 3.7 kgf (6.2 N·m). The length is adjustable between 406 and 446 mm and the arm moves freely from 0 to 180 degrees. Hyundai cites up to 60 percent less shoulder load and up to 30 percent less activity in the shoulder muscles. Korean Air was the first customer and the exoskeleton was the first wearable robot in Korea to receive KS certification.
